I had a chance to attend food photography workshop from Penny de los santos while she visited in dubai. we (almost 7 people) got a chance to chit chat with her around 6 hours time. this was one of my shot during the photowalk with her during the food festival time in dubai at zabeel park.

Interesting composition and the subject , though I’m not a big fan of this editing on this photo. Vegetable don’t look appetizing to me in those colors.Valid critizsm Oksana, Thanks a lot
But that is just my opinion. Your creative vision might be different and that is ok. I like this effect on everything (it brings out the texture), but vegetable.

Thanks Oksana, I made this colour tone by using Curve button in PS. the following technique used to get this colour tone in PS. its an experiment in editing. i got first critizsm from wife that the colour tone is not acceptable for vegetables.
1. use the curve button in ps, then select the layer option to luminosity
2. use the another curve button and change the layer option to color
3. delete the mask area (which shown in white colour)
4. play with luminosity curve
5. change RED, GREEN, BLUE COLOURS in color’s layer.
6.after, choose the channel mixer button and remove the mask area
7. choose the preset as per your requirement (i like black and white with orange filter)
8. then reduce the opacity to 25 to 35%
I used this technique in some of my pictures and it worked well..
below is my self portrait shot which i edited by using this technique
