Hi everyone, i just bought my camera(bit old) Nikon D5100. But i thought it would be good for “beginners” and I realised that i like taking pictures alot, taking “micro” pics, and landscapes. Here are some pic’s that i just did today. ^^
Let me know what do you think, these ones are first ones i made after watching lessons(watched 1-8)
If you guys can, give me some tips, advices anything that makes me better at photography With Nikon 5D100 lense – f/3.5 – f/5.6G VR

Welcome to the forum, TheExfear. Interesting name. I’m sure it has a story.
The D5100 is an excellent camera and a good one to learn on. I use it and love it.
Are these shots straight out of camera or are you doing some post processing as well?
Nice set of photos. I like that your portraits also tell a story.
Might not want to clip heads and chins, but in this case, I don’t really mind.
Great bokeh in several of the shots. You seem to have that down.
Be mindful of horizons. They should be dead straight unless you meaningfully do not want them to be.
One last thing… I wouldn’t hold a subject as in the wheat photo. It’s distracting.

Welcome to the forum, TheExfear! Pretty good for someone who just got the camera. D5100 is great to learn with. Which lens to you have with it? I like the blurred background you’ve got on some of your photos.
As Mandrake mentioned pay attention that the horizon is strait (in most cases). Mandrake is our horizon police, LOL. No crooked horizons can pass by him.
Keep on experimenting! I am looking forward to see more of your photos. Also please try to put photos separate under categories (portraits, macro, landscape). It is easier to comment on them this way.

Welcome to our humble forum!
You will find that you have the best teacher in the world – Oksana!
You also have the “keep it level” horizon inspector – Mandrake!
I strongly suggest that, if you haven’t already, watch the full set of
great learning videos supplied by Oksana. They have helped me many
times and I owe her my thanks for that!
Your pictures are great (no post processing…wow). The colours are
vibrant and the focus is good. I’m assuming that your using the standard
18-55mm kit lens (a great lens by the way!).
Hope to see lots more posts from you and don’t be afraid to look at our stuff
and tell us where you think we could improve. We all learn that way.
Dale.
