hi
I have canon 1100d, and I never faced issue to record longer movies in HD. I think longest was about 5 mins.
Had you read manual? :)
What memory card do you have?

I never take video with my camera, but I do think that there is a connection between
the video and the “class” of the memory card.

I would give you more detail, but I am too lazy to do the research.
Why don’t you?

I had searched video settings in youtube for this camera model,
but I could not find any valuable video.
Here I am trying my luck, ie. There are so many professional photographers in this forum, someone can help.

Muneer…. What is the speed of your memory card? It should be at least class 6.
Class 10 is even better, but probably not necessary for your camera.
I would use the SanDisk brand.
4 gb is enough but memory is cheap these days.

If you’re buying new go with SanDisk Extreme HC1
45MB/s 16gb Class 10.
It’s fast and will hold up to 4 hours of movies.

Here’s the Amazon link. It will cost you $20.

Thanks Mandrake for your valuable suggestion,
I use ‘scan disk Class 4’,
Planning to buy scan disk class 10, I believe this will work.
