DX v FX mode

Is there an advantage to shooting in DX mode on an FX camera, or could you get the same shot using FX mode and cropping the shot?

I would say it is the same. Which ever works best for you. You can test it for yourself. Take two pictures (in Dx mode and cropped FX mode photo) and see if you find any difference. If you do this test, let us know about your results.
I never tried to test it by myself, because I never had a need for it, but I might try to test it as well.

Thanks Oksana… I guess I couldn’t understand why you would shoot in DX mode as it would seem that you would have more flexibility to crop it in FX mode if the quality was the same (I thought I must be missing something) :-)
