Hi All!

I Saw Oksana post a photo on FB the other day about Large format photography, made me remember the forum. Its been a long time for sure. Here is a readers digest on how I have been.

Work has been on overload for the past 3 years and photography got put on hold. Haven’t been out shooting much and even when I did I drag out the editing for a long time and then would be overwhelmed with the amount of the photos that needed to be done.

Last year I decided to start shooting film again. Build a dark room in my garage and have been having a blast doing that. I don’t have patience to wait to see the photos, so I find time to develop and scan film the same or next day after. Since its only a roll or two it doesn’t take much time to go through. Lately I scored 4 rolls of Kodak vision3 motion picture film (about 2,400′ of it) have been bulk loading it and shooting in it in anything under the sun.

Cheers

Aleks

OMG Aleksandr! I am so happy to see you here! I miss my old crew.

This is so awesome what you started shooting film and I love your darkroom set up! I would love to do it one day as well. I think there is a great value in shooting film, since there is not a lot of photographers left who still do it. For example if you hire a good photographer to shoot your wedding on film, it will cost you way more. It is special!

Thank you so much for sharing with us your new film adventure! I am really looking forward to see more! I think you should even do the video from your darkroom. 😉

Oksana, haven’t though about making a video. Great idea I might do that if I ever find time…
