This is a music box which I had given to my mother about 60 years ago. It still plays a happy tune.
Nikon D5100, 29mm, f/4.5, 1/62 sec., ISO-200, ambient light.

I thought that I had posted this before, but can’t find it…. soooo here it is again.
It is a toss-up of either here, as it is my home, or photoshop manipulations.

I am testing Adobe Lightroom 4.2 and let me tell you… It is very powerful and the noise reduction is fantastic.
There is little doubt that I will be buying it after the 30 day free trial.

Great shots of your place and yes it does look comfortable!
That music box must bring back fond memories which are
so good to have.

I’ve just realized that I haven’t uploaded a file to the new forum.
Lets see what all the fuss is about.

fuss…. meaning commotion.
I was referring to the trouble that some were having in uploading photos.

A jug holds what you wish it to hold.
For me, it is wine.

Well defined cast shadow is a real contrast to the
bold colour of the “happy hour” jug!
Really does look like an old time moonshine jug though.
Strong and sharp image.

The jug is a botijo.
It is used for water… If one drinks water.
I purchased it in Santander, Spain in 1959.

Now for something a bit stronger…

Now that is a well framed, beautiful picture!
Right down to the classy coaster
Perfect colours and just the right amount of ice.
It had to be JW black – the red would have cheapened it.
A masterpiece!!!
Dale.

The colours are fantastic but the image looks
slightly soft. Did you use a tripod or other support
to compensate for the slow exposure time?
Try one with spot metering and focus on an eye
to see what happens.

Dale… You are, of course, right. The image is soft. The tripod did the job.
In my fumbling, I totally forgot about spot metering. I will remember next time.
1.3sec, f/5, ISO-100

The second shot appears to have worked very well.
The 35mm is an incredible lens. When I bought mine
a couple of years or so ago, I paid over $300. To get
that lens today for $200 is a no brainer!
