I really like this totem pole located @ the inner harbour here in Victoria.
I wanted to give it a native artistic look and maybe have a print made
to see how it looks a little larger and in a frame.
Let me know if you guys like it and that will tell me if I should spend the
money on it or move on to something else instead.
Appreciate your honesty and IDSC_1688-2-copy-2-copy-3.jpg can take the “it sucks” comments if you feel
it does.
Thanks – Dale.

By the look of the file name it seems that you’ve put a bit of work into this very artistic result.
It really does have a sort of “folk art” kind of appeal.  Sure, I’d hang it.  Especially as it has personal meaning for you.

It’s an interesting take… not my favorite of yours, but that’s true with art…

Thanks – I agree. I like the look because we have such a First Nations influence
in British Columbia and I have seen similar renditions in their art BUT I think if I
do anything like it again I will add colour to it to brighten it up a little.

The personal interest comes from the fact that I have had several conversations with
the artist who created it with his father and was commissioned to repair and restore it
to its original condition and colours not too long ago.
It isn’t a large totem pole but it has had thousands and thousands of pictures taken of
it by tourists due to its position at the entrance to the causeway at our inner harbour here.
Dale
Appreciate both your comments!

Cool approach Dale. I like the graphic look of the image. The only thing with is bothering me is the sky. I don’t like that the black part of it merges into the totem. I would prefer for it to be surrounded by grey. Just a though.
