A couple of months ago I was looking at the sky and made a picture of what I beleaved was the moon with a bright star next to it. The same night I read in the papers that it was the planet Venus which was seen so close to the moon. Anyway, it inspired me to take a few more pictures of the full moon some days later…

We have another Mooner!  Congratulations, Ronald as a new member of the Easy-Exposure Moon Club.
Love the first shot.  It could use some cropping, but I wouldn’t do more to maintain its authenticity.
Have you tried to market it?  It may be valuable as a depiction of the event.

Thanks Ron! By the way, I didn’t even know we had a Moon Club :) I’m not sure about any market value, but for me it was really interesting since I allready had the picture before I knew what it was.

I personally like the third one as well. I took it with my old system camera, Panasonic FZ28, 18xzoom, as I remember something like 1/400 shutterspeed, without a standard, just holding the camera with my hand. It’s amazing how you see the reliëf on the surface of the moon.

It was 1/250 sec., I do believe.  Even better for hand-held.

You’re right, 1/250, in that case it sure does surprise me that it’s still this sharp.

Great shots of the moon! 1st one looks like a partial eclipse of Mars with that
red glow.
You have been made an official “Mooner” by Mandrake – that is an honour to be
proud of as he is very selective on who makes the grade. You have done well my
friend. Wear the badge proudly.
Dale.

Ha, ha, what is this with you guys about “mooners” :) But you can be sure I’ll wear my title with pride :) Thanks for the compliment on the photo. It really looks interesting, doesn’t it?
