Nice example of shallow DoF. I have noised that you are putting your main subject in the middle most of the time. Try to play with your composition more next time. Maybe try use rule of thirds?

Some nice examples of how wide apertures can produce great depth of field.

The fourth is definitely my favorite although I might crop 20% off the left for composition sake.
At f/4 it is the one with the widest aperture, however beautifully blurs foliage in the background
while leaving the important parts of the photo crystal clear.

All of the shutter speeds were easily fast enough to avoid camera shake at a focal length of 35mm.
To alleviate concern, however, you could have easily doubled ISO to be on the safe side.

I am a bit curious as to why the first photo required only a fraction of the shutter opening time for
proper exposure. Any idea on this one, Dale.

One more thing.... Would you PLEASE move your watermark over one space to the left.
Having that tiny bit of the 4 missing on all of your images is really bugging me.

Took some pics using my 35mm lens opened up to around f2 - f4 or so.
Probably should have used a tripod but didn't have it with me so just went
for it hand-held to see what would happen.
Nothing special - just an exercise in an attempt to get some images with relatively blurred
surroundings.
