I would guess that "single photo (portrait), landscape , or whatever you want" is any one photo you took of anything you like that you think is very good.

"Photo story (two to five images that present a theme or idea)" Is a group of photos, of any number from two to five photos, which tell a story without any words. Just looking at the pictures one after the other tell you what is happening.

1. a man walking down the street. 2. the man walking into a store. 3. the man at the counter buying a loaf of bread. 4. the man walking out of the store. These four photos tell the story of a man buying a loaf of bread.

or... 3 photos of children in a playground would tell a story as well.

According to : " I've never won a damn thing in my entire life", So had you participated in envent like this?" because I not sure I understan the rules. Can you explain to me what does it mean what is a single photo (portrait), landscape , or whatever you want?
what does it mean Photo story (two to five images that present a theme or idea.)?
Really I don;t know what is a Photo story. Did you?
