As you know I have the D5100 (no motor) and 18-55 with motor.</p>

<p>I'm happy with the sharpness of this lens. For under$200 it</p>
<p>comes with IS and really does deliver a clean picture.</p>
<p>It's not for everything though. I personally don't use it much</p>
<p>for landscape shots because it seems to lose some sharpness.</p>
<p>I generally use the lens for closer shots and scenes with high contrast</p>
<p>areas.</p>

        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I really like the lightweight and inexpensive 18-55mm "kit lens"</p>
<p>that I use on my D7000.</p>
<p>It's almost as sharp as my 35mm 1.8 prime plus it has the advantage</p>
<p>of zooming in or out a little bit.</p>
<p>As I do live in the "city of gardens" I figure I might as well take pictures</p>
<p>of some of the blooms while they last. Fall is on the way and winter is a</p>
<p>long, dark and usually rainy time of year up here so I'm building up a large</p>
<p>collection of raw pics to have fun with in post processing once the weather</p>
