Good advice Mandrake (as always). I will enjoy my new toy and work on learning Ps during the winter
months so I can get a little more creative with my post processing. I really do love using the new camera
not because it may resolve ever so slightly better, but because it has a little better autofocus and is useable
at higher ISO's. It is also apparently better weather sealed and man do we get a lot of rain and lousy weather
here in the winter lol!
Dale.

The sign is much sharper in the 7100 image, but I'm thinking the far building is sharper with the 7000.
Don't drive yourself nuts with this... The 7100 is a great camera. Enjoy it.

I thought why not crop a small portion of the picture to see if there were any
differences. These two shots are VERY close in resolution, but I do give a slight
advantage to the d7100 (lower image). The sign letters look crisper (at least to me)
and the colours may be a little cleaner but so close. As the d7100 was taken from a
slightly closer position, that could have some slight bearing on the outcome. The file
size of the d7000 is slightly larger than the d7100 as posted. So - have fun looking at
these 2 images and maybe toss a coin for the winner. 16mp with anti-aliasing filter vs.
24mp without anti-aliasing filter? You guys be the judge. Personally I think both cameras
rock and I would be happy to buy a 3 year old d7000 and save a bunch of bucks. The d7100
does have a better feature set though so that's the one for me (for now lol)
