I, also, find #4 very interesting. When underway at sea we practiced "man overboard" drills and actually lowered a large lifeboat manned by a dozen cadets who served as oarsmen.

Here, the Coxswain has given the "Toss Oars" command to tell the oarsmen to raise their oars as shown. This would keep the oars from hitting objects such as the dock which, presumably, is this boat's destination. The same command was used when we returned to the ship to get the oars out of the way.

Cook dramatic looking images with a lot of details. I think they will look even better when you look at them larger. Then you will be able to see tails more. My favorite is #4 with about on the foreground. I wander who the people are and what they are up to.

Love the ocean and boats found plenty at Monterey, I used a polarized filter to get a deeper blue and reduce reflections on the water.y Ca.
