Situated at a height of about 4000 feet, Sasippara is one of the main attractions of Kanjirakolly, kerala, india Though “sasi” in Malayalam means moon, Unfortunately this curious portion of the rock has been destroyed during the fencing work on the rock by the Forest Department of Kerala From Sasippara.

I never forgot the day which I reached over there. It was very tough to reach the hill top, both sides of way are thick forest and I had seen many snakes during the journey to the hill top including small king cobra, it was a dangerous journey.
