Brunogallant, are you trying to see separate white and red bricks? It doesn't look to me like it made out of bricks. Maybe I am wrong, but I don't see any bricks and not because it is overexposed, but because they are not there.

The castle seems a bit overexposed, maybe a third or half a stop. It would help with the detail in the white brick, and saturate the red ones more.

I like the scenery in this photo. Red castle really pops on blue background of the ocean and the sky. I think the square format was a good choise as well.
