I took these with a Nikon Coolpix compact camera on auto mode and maximum zoom, and was genuinely surprised (and pleased) with how they came out, given that it was a case of doing your best to pan the camera with the plane, hit the button and hope! Not so bad with the slower planes, but some of those jets move FAST! :D
