I agree with the others. 1st shot is the winner.

Nice timing and capture.

Highlights are blown a little on the 2nd shot due

to the bright sun.

Happens to me all the time so I try to correct by

metering for the brightest part of the shot and

correcting darker areas where necessary in post

processing.

Hi Yogi. 1st shot is really cool. Talk about timing and capturing a moment! You were in precisely the right spot at precisely the right time! Most of my attention is drawn to the runners on the left side. Would love to see a crop of just them. Great expression on the foreground runner and the runner in shades under the shower is the perfect background. Very cool shot! Tells a story, captures a great moment! Thumbs up!

What was your setup? How close/far away were you?

James

I got my first DSLR (Canon T4i) in January knowing nothing about photography. Since then I've watched every EasyExposure tutorial more than once. I'm now starting to see some results that I'm happy with and aren't affraid to share

Thank you Oksana for taking the time to do this. I've learnt and am still learning so much and am loving it too. Your tutorials are the only place on the internet that I've needed to get started in photography.

So here's a couple of shots I took in Nice, France in June 2013. The sun was really bright and made it hard to see what I was doing!

Camera: Canon T4i / EOS 650D

#1: ISO-100 - 1/800 - f/5.6 - 116mm

#2: ISO-100 - 1/640 - f/5.6 - 220mm
