I hear what you're saying and thanks for the comments.
Like I said to Mandrake - I have to try different lighting.
The weather here is not good for going out and taking
pictures so I'm trying some new stuff to see what happens.

Are we talking Johnny Walker black label?
That would definitely provide more of a kick
than a tablespoon of olive oil!
Just got a copy of Photoshop Elements 10 - now I
have to check out the tutorials on it to learn how to
use the damned thing lol.

Doesn't get much simpler than this - bottle of olive oil
placed on black plexiglass and shot using 1 side light.
Will have to play around with different lighting if I do any
more of this. With right lighting the plexiglass should give
some nice reflections of chosen objects.
