While not being terribly helpful it is interesting to note that Made in Japan Marks and Dates are as follows:

MARK......................YEARS USED
Nippon....................1891 to 1921
Japan.......................1922 to 1941
Occupied Japan.....1945 to 1952
Made In Japan.......1953 to present

As the box includes the words "Made in Japan", I would say it was not made before 1953.

Does anyone have any idea of how old this could be?
We were told that it is at least 50 years old but I can't
find anything on the internet that is helpful.
I'm sure it is not worth anything but the bottle and labels
