I often look at his eyes in this portrait and think that he wants to says something to me. As you said, he looks much wiser.

Actually, I do like the black and white version better.
For some reason the man looks much wiser.

No flash.

Of course, now I know him. I met him in a remote village in Himalaya. I talked to him for a while and had tea together;I told him my intention to take his photo and he posed for me. I certainly meet him on my next trip next year, and will hand over his portrait to him.
