Great picture. Think you used HDR exactly the way it's supposed to be used. More light and color in the darker area while keeping the light area in good condition. Well done.

I like the effect you've achieved. I agree that some people
go too far with the colours and "drama". Doesn't work for me.
You got it right - congratulations!

Thank you both! Yeah, this is an actual truck with broken glass and stuff so no special effect! LOL! I personally like HDR for realistic looking images and nothing over the top. HDR should be able to show the dynamic range (areas in dark to bright light) so everything is visible. Color pop should also be reasonable to it looks realistic to eyes.

Hi Vipuldk,

I don't usually like HDR pics very much, but you may have kindled an interest in my head, as I like the output you have created. Colorful and can actually see what is in the picture clearly. Did you Photoshop the bullet holes in the windscreen or was that a real shoot em up in the Wild West? LOL

Good work mate, and welcome to the forums.

Hello everyone! I just joined Easy Exposure today! I found the tutorials from Oksana very useful. I use Lightroom for post-processing and I am thinking if it would be OK to share some of my work with this community by sharing my Lightroom presets. Please let me know what you think.

Here's my first preset. It's called 'Awesome PASM - HDR'. I like HDR images but not overly processed as they otherwise look fake. So if you have Lightroom and apply this preset to an HDR image, it will bring the best out of your image and it would still look realistic.

What do you need to do after applying this preset?
- tweak a few settings like exposure and white balance to ensure the image looks good to your taste/eyes. I have intentionally left out automatic White Balance adjustment as you should apply it based on your image.
- Camera lens correct is set to AUTO so it should try to apply your lens settings automatically. If this does not happen, please change it manually (click Custom, select Camera Make and Model from the lens profile).

View the screenshot of the before and after image to see what the preset does to the image I have chosen.
Enjoy!

Download the preset ".lrtemplate" file from here: http://sdrv.ms/11zVYfi
