Wow... some difference. You seem to have mastered this feature of Ps.
I'll check to see if there is anything similar in Elements.

Thanks for the thumbs up comments - appreciated.
I use Ps6 for a lot of processing now (Lr4 is still my preferred choice for most stuff).
In Ps6 there is a "FILTER" section that includes "oil paint" along with lots of other interesting
things. Using oil paint you can get as creative as you want (like HDR) but you can overdo it
if you get too creative (like HDR) and the picture can become very distorted so I go really easy
when using this tool and try and keep a sense of realism with a little artistic flair thrown in.
As you can see...the "absolutely right out of the camera jpeg's that I reproduced from the raw
images have been processed and cropped but not TOO much (I hope). I'll put up a post in the
near future to show you some examples of how far you can go if you want to get "over creative"
while using Ps paint.
Dale.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "Photoshop paint", but whatever you did... it worked.
Would love to see these two images before your artistry.

I do remember that the 7100 is weather sealed but I'm sure that the 35mm 1.8 is not.

Was a rainy morning so I went to one of my favourite places (where there is
a lot of tree cover thankfully lol}. Managed to get a few shots before it was time
to get home and dry myself and my poor camera off. Camera still works so I guess
it is fairly water resistant. Wasn't sure about the lens though but it seems fine too.
First image did not get a coat of paint from Photoshop lol!
