The Metropolitan Museum of Art has opened up its image archive to the masses, releasing almost 400,000 photos online for people to use as long as they don't put them towards commercial ends.

This could well be a wonderful source for free to use images. Check it out.

Hi There,

I have a few Inspirational people who have given me so much drive and energy to take on the world of photography. I just wish all this technology was around when I was about 20 or so.
To me, the beauty of photography is that I can take a picture of whatever I want and change it or leave it at my leisure without fear of criticism or feelings of inadequacy. This has been brought about by the following, brilliant people, in my eyes anyway.

Jared Polin aka FroKnows on Youtube and his own site.
Frank Taylor aka Greatphotographictips on Youtube and his own site
Derek Moran (Dex) aka TemporalParadox on Youtube and his own site
Oksan aka Easyexposure on Youtube and her own site

The above are not in any special order but are the ones who give me courage, hope, desire and yearning to learn and practice my photography journey. The main reason is that THEY have given their time to help and assist people like me who want to be better photographers whether it be for riches or not.

To be quite honest I feel somewhat humbled in how much they do give. I have been a rabid Youtube user since buying my camera gear last year, without them and what they have done and are STILL doing I would have given up ages ago. I am also members on their own web sites.

Please note that the above are my comments and are there to describe MY feelings and inspiration.
As you know, everyone walks their own path so go forth and be inspired, your way .....
