Congrats mate, it's shure a nice lens and don't forget the 200mm on DX is 300mm for real, that is great for sport events and wildlife photography. I use a lot my 105 zoom range to shot sailor and horse events and it's great. You will shure need to put your VR on! The manual focus ring is on the front right?

According to Ken Rockwell the 55-200 is a great
lens at a real good price.
I bet you will go out and post some pics with this
lens that has us all raving about how good they are!
So get out there and prove me right lol.

Hi guys..I'v just bought My 1st zoom lense today..AF-S DX Zoom nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED...Not sure if it a wise choice buy that's the only one within my budjet reach...Opinion guys?
