Not everybody is able using manual focus. It is possible to train yourself, but the situation I see on the photos, there is totally no need for manual focus. Why make your life difficult. Just use auto focus and see what happen.

I'm a newbie to photography and recently got Nikon D7000 and 18-105 Kit Lens. I have learned a lot from your video about the basics- Thank you :). However I have a few additional queries for you :

 1. Focus: I'm unable to get the camera to focus at the desired Focus Point when shooting @ Manual Mode.Can you please help me get this right. Also, should both the focus dial's i.e., on body and Lens be turned to (A/M).If yes the reasons or the best possible combinations !

2. Zoom Dial : I noted that all my pics are blurring when i'm shooting at a focal length above 18 and 24MM (or say basically when im zooming in towards 105). Based on the fundamental rule i ensured that during each click the shutter speed is greater or equivalent to the reverse of focal length.(correct me if i'm wrong with this fundamental). Also, i'm not content with the quality and sharpens of the images the camera is producing.

I'm shooting @ aperture priority mode. Since i have problem with both Focus and the zoom dial, i'm unable to figure out the reason for blur and unsatisfactory pics.Is it because of lack of technique(focus) or because some technical glitch lens which need repair /testing !
