Justin,

The photographs are nice. I too have experienced distortion with a wide angle lens and this is something that you can't avoid especially at the extremities of the image. i had the same problem with an image i posted and Mandrake did a good job of correcting the distortion

Justin.. I played a bit with the photo in lightroom 5 and found that Lens Correction > Basic > Vertical does a nice job of correcting the distortion. If you wish more of the lower part of the photo to be visible, then the settings would be Lens Correction > Manual > Vertical -7 and Scale 105.

Admittedly, while both of these adjustments straighten the clock tower, the background building does remain somewhat distorted.

The 35mm f1.8G AF-S DX Lens is an outstanding value and, in my opinion a must buy.

Mandrake, I did try to use lens corrections in LR5 but the outcome was not satisfactory. Because I use a 18-55mm kit lens so I expect and accept the fact that the subjects on both ends are distorted. BTW, I know you have a Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX Lens and I may want to buy one for myself. Do you recommend it?

Love the second shot.
Have you tried it with correction of the lens distortion?
I think I'd prefer the clock tower and the rear building straightened.

Oksana, I totally agreed with you. But the problem is I stayed in Hong Kong for 2 weeks and 99% of the time were cloudy and I rarely saw any sunlight. So even though I took the picture during golden hour, it didn't make any difference.

Great pictures. I really like the beams of light on #2. It create interesting pattern. I might have shot #1 right after the sunset to have a bit more colors in the sky, of cause if it was possible. It just a though. It still very nice. Looking forward to see more photos.
