Here are my pics of the 2013 Supermoon. I had a wonderful time capturing these, but I had to be patient -- very patient. Unfortunately, clouds from earlier rain showers blocked the my view of the rise from the horizon. But you have to make the best of what you have.

I was able to get these about 30-45 min after the rise, once it peeked through the clouds. The Moon was beautiful and a very, very bright orange. I shot the first one through my telescope. But then it started being finicky, so I switched to my zoom for the others.

Surprisingly, the shots held up pretty well after pretty heavy cropping.

Hello JD. Yes, I've been looking forward to it since I missed last year's Super Moon. I want to try to catch it as it rises and when it sets. Just hoping for clear skies! Good luck on your shots! Hope you have good weather in the UK.
