I had learned much about lenses here so you will. Eventhoug I am still a litle unhappy what aparently look good is so spensive that is only a dream for me.

Good to see you back and on the mend!
The settings I listed are correct but I have to admit
I think I have an advantage living up here - the moon
does stand out quite well against the dark sky. Not too
much interference from bright city lights late at night.
Corrections made in post processing but try to keep it
minimal. And Silky - The Canon Rebel I use is a 12megapixel
older model but 12mp is plenty for most situations. Camera
companies are starting to go crazy adding mp's to sensors.
I would gladly use my D7000 for moon shots but a 35mm lens
does not allow for a large image from a quarter million miles away lol!!!
Want to get a 70-300 for my Nikon and then the old Canon will be a dust
collector.

Indeed... We now have a winner so far.

I am surprised at how bright your moon is at the camera's settings.
300mm, f5.6, 1/160 sec, ISO-100, and 0 step (as provided by the properties).
Was the moon particularly bright that night or... perhaps because of post?

There are far too many craters to attempt to name.

For BW or as most of us call it WB, I usually
let the camera decide and leave on auto. If
you watch Oksana's tutorials she points out
that by changing WB in post you can achieve some
really interesting effects. She also has an excellent
tutorial on photographing the moon at night. If you
haven't yet watched it please do - all of her tutorials
are very well done and also very informative.
