Thanks for all of your comments. The red bird is called cardinal. Those two birds are the same one. I used Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED lens to shoot this picture.

What a beautiful bird. Anyone knows what bird it is? Nice images, DoF is great, as well as a pop of color agains grey. What lens did you use? Did you crop the image a bit?

Mandrake, it does looks like the same bird to me. You are right about a color difference. In the first photo it seams like a bit brighter exposure and a bit more towards the yellow.

Really like how the tone of the photos tell us how really cold it must be.
Are the two photos of the same bird as their coloring seems a bit different?
Perhaps you played with color a bit in post.
