Thank you - it is a bit of an illusion though. The lizards are housed
in a fairly small enclosure - I'll post an image of it later today if I get
a chance.
My wish list for Christmas includes a longer lens - will have to wait
and see lol!

Those pics are very nice, nikonguy. I just love that green color. You got pretty good results with 35mm . I would probably use something longer for this to not to scare the beast. But it looks like it worked out pretty good for you.

I usually set white balance to auto - Nikon
cameras are smart enough to get it right nearly
all the time so why mess with success!
Hope that answers your question...Dale

I appreciate your kind repmarks erwinwave...thank you.
I usually set my Nikon to Standard picture and My Canon to Landscape mode.
I do all "tweaking" in post using Lightroom 4 and I always do as little post
as possible to keep the basic integrity of the original shot. When I first started
taking pictures I used to over manipulate in post processing without realizing
that when I wanted to see the pics at 100% or greatly enlarged, the images
showed the results of too much processing so I really try and stay as close as
I can to the original now...hope that helps and I'm sure you will take great pictures
because as I've said before...if I can, anybody can!!!
