I think that things don't have to be in their usual positions and you don't have to be able to identify subjects all the time. Some mystery is a good thing sometime. It is just my personal opinion. I think this position of the rose is kind of romantic.

Again... beautiful color.
The rose, however, appears in an unnatural position which detracts from it's beauty.
It would be difficult to identify the subject of the second photo if it were not for the first.
