Not all that familiar with mirror less cameras but i know they are tiny , good for hand held images and cost as much as entry level DSLRs. How did you get these images with a 25 mm lens, especially the 3rd and 4th image ? . Does this lens allow you to focus very close to the subject or the flowers were on steroids ? if you have cropped these images heavily in Post, the image quality has not suffered at all . High ISO performance is a surprise. what is the crop factor on this sensor?

Hello Jane. Yes your photos are beautifully vibrant. I saved the files that you've posted and listed them in the "detail view" using Windows 7 (I know you use a Mac and I'm not really sure how you would do this.) The above is a screen capture of the list.

All of the shots were taken at a wide aperture of f/2.2. While the shutter speeds are not particularly fast, a very high ISO of 51200 was surprisingly needed for proper exposure. Do you remember if the location was unusually dark or do you find high ISOs are normal with the E-M5 and this lens?

Keep up the good work. It is a pleasure to have you in the forum.

The next time when i go back i will definitely try the rule of thirds!!

I am using the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mirrorless with the 25mm f1.8 lens, @nikonguy how did you know by just looking at the photos which camera is use to take it?

Lovely pictures!
I noticed that you used an Olympus camera to create these images.
Very impressed with the clarity and vibrancy that it produces.
All really pleasing - is a good idea to try and use the rule of thirds though
when possible to offset main subject and make image a little more interesting.
Hope you have a great time taking pictures and looking forward to many more
posts from you for us to enjoy in future.

Beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing!

My favorite is #2. These colors are very pleasing to my eyes. I also like repetition in #3 and the stripes on the flowers make the photo interesting.

I've notised that when you photograph a single flower you place it in the middle. Next time I would also suggest to try to place it in the rule of thirds. Let see what will look better.
