Indeed. Could have cleaned the flower before. But I was thinking more of a natural shot. (with decaying parts in it - 

portraying reality.

I couldn't focus all the parts in the red flower as you can see above.

Is it because I used a wider aperture?

with D5100 + 50mm f/1.8 can't I get the same shot with everything in focus ?
