Forgot to mention - the top two pics were taken with an older Canon Rebel and a 70-300mm lens.
Only the bottom pic was taken with a D7000 @ 35mm
Not really the camera that makes the difference - unless you're a professional and really do it
for a living - then you buy the best!

D7000 or D600? Either camera is a good investment so
it depends on how important the full frame is to you. For
everyday photography the D7000 is a wonderful camera
that does just about everything well.
For HIGH ISO low light photography the D600 will definitely
out perform the DX models.
I will post a couple of high ISO pics when I get the chance to
show you what you can expect - and I will post them with NO
processing - right out of the camera.

those duck are good to eat at orange, nice shot u know I nit sure yet if buy D7000 or D600 yestarday I read a comment that croping lense and cameras are thing to the pass due the cheap FX sensor, but in other hand all my lenses are DC so seem your pics low noice and cristal clear put me in back and foward.
It will be difficult to you make two pics one in night city with Iso 3200 and other in 6400 ? I will apreciate.

that camera shake will be avoided lol. So far images not too bad but I guess I should invest
in a decent tripod soon.

I do use Lightroom for post processing and really do like the results.
I have taken a lot of pics with the 70-300mm @ 300mm and think it's a great lens. The old Canon Rebel is getting pretty
tired now so I bought a Nikon d7000 and really enjoy using the 35mm prime with it.
British Columbia is a great place to live and the photo opportunities are endless with the changing seasons and coastal
wildlife. I'll keep posting the pics and do hope people enjoy and welcome any input or questions because that's what this
is all about - helping and being helped when needed. Again, thanks for the comments and keep up the good work.

I see that several are at 300mm. Great job. Are you using a tripod for these?
BC must be a wonderful place for your wildlife liking.

I also see that you are using Lightroom. I use PSE10, but have just downloaded the 30 day trial of LR4.2.
It seems very powerful and I'm looking forward to discovering what it has to offer.
I'm particularly excited about the brush functions, something I really don't have with PSE.
