This picture was made on a distance of approx. 18-20 centimeters. When you calculate the DOF for this distance

with a Nikon D3200, a 55mm lens and a aperture of f8.0, the DOF is about 0,25 centimeter or 2,5 mm.

So when the background is on a distance of about 40-50 centimeters, the background is very blur.
