Easy Exposure - Topic: 35mm Macro

I would love to buy more camera gear but if I bought everything that
I wanted my credit cards would self destruct!
A good macro lens would be awesome but to spend another $1000 or so
right now is not going to happen so I do a faux macro by starting with a
reasonably sharp image and cropping as far as possible. The bottom pic
was over cropped but just used it as an example of really extreme cropping
at the borderline of pixelation - it is becoming slightly blurred and unusable.

I'v done the cropping quite often too nikon guy...Nice shot BTW...

Not really a macro shot - just cropping of a shot taken @35mm.
Not too bad but doesn't take the place of a true macro lens.
1st pic - slight cropping
2nd pic - tight cropping
3rd pic - insane cropping lol!
