As a photographer you are in competition with cellphones, which gives a great motivation to be better and believe something what cellphone can. So a good photographer/artist can deliver something great despite of the equipment. Experience and creative idea what matters the most.

I bought Portrait Pro a couple weeks ago. It's pretty nice. But it does have alot of stuff I'd never use, as most software does...like adding lipstick and makeup..or making the lips pout, wideining the eyes..etc.

While I'm on this, has anyone noticed how people with cell phones have so many APPS to chose from for taking phtoos!! Dang, i see my wife's photos and her friends's post on facebook and they have all the same stuff to edit with. I don't know, but i sure hope having a very expensive camera, using softboxes, off camera flash............all have a appreciatiable difference compared to what cell phones can do now.
