You've sold me on the quality of pics that a 6d can produce. I'm using a Nikon d7000

and I really love the images it can produce BUT I have to see a full frame in my future!

I really think that the 6d (or d600 if I choose Nikon) would satisfy any needs I would have

in photography. The 5d3 and the d800 are undoubtedly great cameras but the price tag is so

high for either. Hope you have many years of enjoyment from the 6d!

Thanks Dale.

The 6d uses the same sensor as the 5d3 and there are remarkably few differences between the 2 bodies, I've been running a 50 1.8 and this 85 1.8 for the last 2 weddings and only touch my zoom when I need wide angle which will change shortly when I dump it for more primes. I'd say between the 50 and 85 they did about 95% of the last 2 weddings with the 85 taking the lions share.

I also absolutely love the lack of a zoom, lighter and it really makes me think a lot more about my composition and gets me in the habit of moving around to find my shot.

Great series of photographs MHP Mike.

Looking forward to seeing more pics taken by the Canon 6D.

All images shot on the Canon 6d. Almost everything except the sky background shots were shot with the Canon 85 1.8 at 1.8.

The sky background shots were with the Canon 24-105 f4 within a stop of 4.0. It was a fun session and my first time working with a model for a fashion set. Something I'm working to improve (aside from everything right lol) is posing. I made some improvements in my opinion in this set. I gave her something to do with her arms and hands to try to create shapes and interest another important thing is I had her have her lips slightly parted, it is a much more attractive look for females than a closed mouth in my opinion.

She was up on a ledge, I'm laying on the ground and have an off camera flash behind me.

Her face is angled toward an off camera flash which lets me carve out her cheekbones, jawlines and get nice catch lights with a fun crop.

Her face is angled toward an off camera flash which lets me carve out her cheekbones, jawlines and get nice catch lights. I had her right arm up and out to create dimension and to lead the eye to her face. Her left arm I should have had lifted away from her body more.

Night time at this point, the light is the Ice Light (continuous lighting) I had my assistant holding for the Rembrandt lighting effect on her face and give nice dimension to the image while letting the far side slide off into darkness.

Same as above with my assistant holding the Ice Light.

This is a 3 light setup (almost considered 4) with 2 lights. She is in an archway. My assistant is still holding the Ice Light, I have one flash behind her aiming toward her and frame left. This gives us a strong hair light and bounces the extra light off the side and back into her face, I also angled myself to catch some of the flash firing directly into the lens for a glamour effect.
