        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>I don't trust any setting other than manual and the meter while I leave it on evaluative I rarely use it. I find metering by eye gets me close to where I want and a quick LCD screen check and I'm dialed in where the meter is consistently off from what I want. Oksana has a metering mode video somewhere where she does tests with the different modes and results she got.</p>

<p>Good test. </p>
<p>Centre weighted and spot are very close as they should be by the exposure times.</p>
<p>Personally, I always use spot metering and it usually works for me. I have tried using</p>
<p>other metering but I find that spot metering produces results that I find more acceptable.</p>
<p>I try to find a "neutral" area of contrast in the scene I am focusing on and adjust camera</p>
<p>settings to suit that - exposure time f-stop etc.</p>

They were taken in aperture priority mode with the only camera setting change being the metering mode.</p>
<p>Note the significant differences in the resulting shutter speeds.<br />
I have not yet pursued the ramifications, but find it fascinating.</p>
