I wear glasses - no line varifocals as well... I wear my glasses to look through the lens and focus... I also set the diopter with my glasses on and have not noticed any issues. The only real issue I have is focusing on the correct thing (person) during sporting events when things are moving very fast.

I wear glasses - varifocals and reading glasses. At the moment I wear my varifocals using the distance part to focus. I'm not sure if this is the best approach. Also, should I set the diopter with these glasses on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I've heard conflicting views and I'm also struggling with getting sharp focus every time.
